Terms of Service
These Terms govern the use of Value for Money. By using the service, you fully accept these terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Value for Money you declare that you have read, understood and fully accepted these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept these terms, even in part, please do not use the service. Continued use of the service after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
2. Service Description
Value for Money is an independent analysis service for portfolios of mutual funds. It assesses the funds entered by the user on information transparency, cost structure and return net of fees, and identifies opportunities to replace them with equivalent ETFs at lower cost. The service includes one portfolio at no charge, with limited analysis; from the second portfolio onward, and for the full analysis, payment applies.
3. Financial Disclaimer
IMPORTANT: the information, analyses and indications provided by Value for Money are for information purposes only and do NOT constitute financial advice, an investment recommendation, a solicitation of public savings or a public offer of financial instruments within the meaning of Italian Legislative Decree 58/1998 (TUF). Value for Money is not an authorised financial intermediary. Before carrying out any investment or divestment, consult a qualified financial adviser registered with the Italian OCF register.
4. Limitation of Liability
Value for Money is not liable for: direct or indirect financial losses arising from the use of the information provided; investment decisions based on our analyses; errors, omissions or delays in the data; temporary or permanent interruptions of the service; damage caused by events of force majeure. Value for Money's maximum liability is limited to the amount paid by the user for the service in the preceding 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory consumer law.
5. Data Accuracy
We undertake to provide accurate and up-to-date data, drawing on sources believed to be reliable. However, we do not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, reliability or timeliness of the information. Market data, historical performance and fund costs may vary and are subject to errors in the original sources. Past performance is not indicative of future results.
6. User Account and Security
You are responsible for the security of your account, for the confidentiality of your password and for all activity carried out through your account. Do not share your credentials with third parties. In the event of unauthorised access, contact us immediately. We reserve the right to suspend or close accounts in the event of a breach of these terms or of fraudulent use.
7. Payments, Refunds and Right of Withdrawal
Payments are processed through Stripe; we neither handle nor store your card details. Prices are in Euro and include VAT where applicable. Right of withdrawal: as a consumer you may withdraw within 14 days of entering into the contract, without giving a reason and at no cost, by writing to info@valueformoney.it. At payment we ask you to expressly consent to immediate performance of the service and to acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the report has been generated — the condition set out in art. 59(1)(o) of the Italian Consumer Code. Until the report has been generated — for instance while your funds are awaiting review — the right of withdrawal remains fully available and we refund the full amount within 14 days of your request, using the same payment method you used. If a technical failure prevents you from accessing the report, contact us: we will regenerate it or refund you.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the site, including text, graphics, logos, analysis algorithms, assessment methodologies and the overall design of Value for Money, is protected by intellectual property rights. Reproduction, distribution or commercial use without written authorisation is prohibited. The user retains ownership of the data they enter into the service.
9. Changes to the Service and to the Terms
We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any aspect of the service at any time. Changes to these Terms will be communicated by publication on the site, stating the date of the last update. Continued use of the service after the changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
10. Dispute Resolution
For any complaint or dispute concerning the service, please contact us first by email so that we can attempt an amicable resolution. Failing that, disputes will be governed by Italian law. The consumer's right to turn to mediation and alternative dispute resolution bodies entered in the registers kept by the Italian Ministry of Justice remains unaffected.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Italian law. For disputes that cannot be resolved amicably, the court of Milan has jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules providing for a different court.
